Time Freeze at Grocery Store

Posted by Storm on July 8, 2012 at 3:30 AM Comments comments (3)

This event was rather strange...

Back around 1989 friend of mine and I were walking into a grocery store. We were busy talking about what we were going to buy, the door opened and as we walked in we noticed something rather odd.

Everyone seemed to be frozen in place for just a split second and then they all started moving again.

The effect was similar to having old video on spools and the film stops for a microsecond and then restarts, as if trying to catch up to where it was supposed to be.

We both looked at each other and asked at the same time, "Did you see that?".

Then she described what she saw and I described the same thing.

I had another incidence at a grocery store in Springfield around 2006 at a grocery store on Kansas Expressway.

I was with a friend of mine and we were visiting a grocery store we go to all the time. The reason why we went to this particular store because we knew where everything was and we could run into it real quick, get what we needed and run back out.

On this occassion we were going in to get some ketchup. We knew exactly what aisle it was on. We went directly to where that aisle should be. But the aisle wasn't there.

We knew that it wasn't there because that aisle is shorter than the other aisle, since it's next to the produce. At first we thought perhaps they had modified the store and changed the location of the ketchup. We split up and went to look for an employee who could tell us where the ketchup was. I didn't find an employee but my friend did. She caught up with me and told me that the employee told her that the ketchup was where it had always been, the aisle we couldn't find.

We went back to the area and there was the aisle. The ketchup was exactly where we expected it to be. But we both knew that it hadn't been there when we first came in.

Mysterious Light...

This happened to me about ten years ago.

My aunt had given me this awful looking coat and I had hung it up on the outside of the hallway closet door. It hung up there for a few nights without incident.

One night I woke up because of this very bright light that was in my eyes. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from at first. I was disoriented because I thought the light should be coming from outside.

When I finally woke up, I realized that the light was coming from the hallway. It seemed to be shining on the coat.

I got up to turn off the hallway light. By the time I got up the light had turned off. After looking for the hallway light for a few minutes I realized that I don't have a hallway light. Looking up at the ceiling there was no light. There wasn't even a fixture for a light.

I tried turning on the livingroom lights, the kitchen light and the bathroom light. Just to see if it could have been any one of them. None of them cast enough light to be as bright as the light that woke me up.

The light that had awaken me flooded the hallway and it seemed to be shining from the ceiling. But with no fixture that would be impossible.

I went back to sleep. No more incidence for three or four nights. Then it happened again. Bright light shining from the hallway. Waking me up. Light goes out when I start for the door.

I got rid of the coat and didn't have any more incidences after that.

Disappearing Earrings Re-Appear

I seem to always have "odd" things happening in my life.

About 25 years ago, I had a female friend who had to have emergency surgery. She had given me her earrings to hold on to. They had been a graduation gift from a dear friend of hers and she didn't want to lose them.

I took the earrings and placed them into my pocket.

I lived about 65 miles away from the hospital. It had become very late and I called my brother, who lived in town, and asked him if I could sleep on his couch for the night.

I went into a very sound sleep. Woke up the next morning and was getting ready to go back to the hospital when I remembered the earrings.

They were no longer in my pocket.

I searched the couch thinking they may have fallen out. I searched under the couch, the living room and the rest of the house. I went through my car but I couldn't find the earrings any where.

I went to the hospital and told my friend that I had lost her earrings and appologized. She said it was ok.

Fast forward three years. I'm moving out of my home to a new home. I'm throwing a lot of stuff away. The stuff one collects when living in one place too long.

I was about to throw away this box that seemed to be filled with just paper. When I lifted the box I heard a rattle. I removed the paper and found a small black photography cylinder. The kind of thing that photographers used to store their film in.

My friend was a photographer so I thought perhaps it was some film that she had forgotten. When I opened up the container, there were her earrings.

I have no idea how they got there. I had lost the earrings three years before, 65 miles away and had never had a black cylinder. But there they were.

My friend was very happy to get them back.

Doppelganger...

About 25 years ago, I was dating a nice woman. We'd been dating for awhile and were living together. We'd only been living together for about six months when she had a very interesting experience.

She had gone to the grocery store to do some shopping. While she was there, she saw "me". Which she thought was strange because she couldn't figure out how I could have arrived at the store before her. Especially since we only had one car and she was driving it.

She tried to approach "me" but everytime she got close "I" would disappear around an aisle or move away from her. She finally caught up with "me" in line and talked to "me".

She said that "I" was aloof and didn't talk much to her. Just answered some basic questions. She was very puzzled.

What puzzled her was that I was dressed up but wasn't wearing any clothes she had seen me wear. I looked like I was going to a business appointment. I was wearing an expensive gold watch that she didn't know I owned.

Then "I" told her it was nice speaking to her and walked out the door. She watched me leave and get into a slate blue colored BMW car and drive away. Now she was puzzled.

She went home and found me as she had left me. Still wearing the same clothes and no BMW car. She wanted to know who's car I had been driving?

Having no clue what she was talking about I told her that I didn't know what she was talking about. Which only made her mad. Then she wanted to know where I had been going?

I tried to tell her that I hadn't been anywhere. She had the car and I hadn't moved from the spot I was in when she left. She was now convinced that I was lying to her. The madder she got the funnier I thought the situation was. Which didn't help matters any.

When I finally got her calmed down she explained to me what had happend. She was convinced it was me. I couldn't convince her otherwise.

About a day later, my sister called me wanting to know when I had purchased a BMW. She knew that I didn't care too much about cars and hated driving and wanted to know why I would buy a BMW?

I told her she was nuts. I hadn't purchased any car. I still had the Skylark I'd had for the last two years. Then I remembered what my girlfriend had told me. I asked my sister for additional information about the occurance and if she was sure it was me.

Indignantly my sister told me that she should know what I looked like. She was positive it was me. She could tell from the back because of the way I walk. When I turned, she saw my signature dark glasses. The way I carried my wallet in my front pocket instead of the back. The only thing different was that she thought was strange was that I looked older and had silver hair along the temples. She hadn't noticed this the last time she had seen me but this time it struck her as odd.

I personally never saw this doppleganger but my girlfriend saw him on three other occassions. One of which he had come into the small retail store she worked at. Smiled at her and walked out. Two friends also claimed to have seen this person and swore it was me.

One good friend, Chuck, said that he had talked to "me" and "I" had even paid for lunch. The BMW car seemed to be the thing that caught their attention the most.

Mysterious Woman Comforts...

Previously, I mentioned that my father had purchased an old home in the country. Nothing special about it. No murders or anything like that.

'We had a haunted stair case, that I previously mentioned. This is related to that stair case.

I was 16 at the time, dating and my girlfriend had brought me home in her car. When she pulled into the driveway the car died. It wouldn't start no matter what we did.

Being ten miles from town, it wasn't an option to walk or call a taxi. Her mom worked at night at a Nursing home and couldn't come get her. So, I offered to let her stay in my room upstairs and I'd sleep downstairs in the living room on the couch.

I had been asleep for a couple of hours when I heard a very loud scream. Groggily I made it to my feet and realized it was my girlfriend screaming, upstairs.

I ran upstairs to find out what the problem was. When I arrived my mother looked confused and wanted to know what my girlfriend was doing in my room. (My mother had been working the late shift and had just arrived home.)

I asked my mother what had happened?

She told me that she was going to bed when she heard a woman's voice in my bedroom and she thought that I had a girl in there with me. She had opened up the door, turned on the lights and the girl simply started screaming and wouldn't stop.

She then wanted to interrogate me about the girl. (Mother's have strange priorities) I went my girlfriend and asked her what had happened?

She told me that she had been asleep and was having a terrible nightmare. She woke up scared and a woman had come into the room to comfort her. She had naturally assumed it was my mother.

The woman had calmed her down. About that time, my mother flipped on the light switch and she saw that there was no one in the room with her. That's when she started screaming.

Haunted Stair Case...

Back when I was in H.S. my father had purchased this old house. There was no unusual history to it. It was simply an old house.

There was a narrow stair case that lead to the upper rooms from the kitchen.

We'd often hear someone walking either up the stairs or down the stairs.

No matter how many times it happened, especially at dinner, we inevitiably looked towards the stair case when we heard someone walking down them.

It became such a joke, that we started setting an extra place setting for our resident ghost.

Dorm Room Incident

Years ago, while I was attending college, I had a couple of interesting incidents.

I have a bad habit of always losing my keys. To help me keep track of the keys, I placed a hook by the door, so I had a place to hang them as I came into the room and find them as I left.

The hook was at a 45 degree angle facing the opposite wall.

My girlfriend and I had gone to the room and relax between classes. We had just sat down to talk, when the keys came flying across the room towards the window.

The keys didn't fall to the ground. They flew across the room which was about 14x14 towards the window and hit the radiator.

For reference we'll assume that as I come in the room the keys would be hanging on the West side of the room. Facing the East side. The door is the North side and the Window is the South side. In other words, the keys  had to first lift upwards, then flew South instead of East.

This was the beginning of other strange occurances which happened throughout the year. Mostly of things disappearing or being moved from where we had placed them.

First experience

3 friends of mine invited me to investigate a house in Niangua. I really didn't believe in the paranormal, I just figured it was just a current fad. Anyways, we had been in the 2 story house since 9 p.m. it was about 1:30 a.m. when we decided to do seperate EVP sessions. While I was asking dumb questions (treating it like a joke) a large black mass formed in the doorway to the attic. After a few seconds it hit me that it was real. I screamed and bolted out the door. At first it scared the crap out of me but the next day I wanted to go back (didn't get to). Since then i've done my own personal EVP sessions and snapped pictures in the dark just to see what I can find.

Kim and The Team are GREAT!!

SWGF came to my mom's home and did their thing.  They did a great job, and everything went well.  Well, mom moved, she couldn't take what stayed behind, and myself, husband and kids moved in.  He doesn't believe in the paranormal, but I enjoy the kids running to me to tell me about doors opening and closing, lights on and off, and things they see.  I spend most of my time alone in the house. Guess i'm just used to them and them to me.

Sorry mom had to move, but I enjoy living here.    Thanks to Kim and her TEAM!!!
